LeapStart football Trophy won by Parikrama Centre for Learning

In the LeapStart National football tournament  final conducted by FitKids, Parikrama Centre for learning defeated Greenwood High International school 2-1 to clinch the title of the third edition of the Stanes School, Coimbatore defeated Alpha Cambridge International School, Trichy to secure third place in a penalty shootout after teams were level 1-1 during full time. The winning teams collected the LeapStart trophy from the chief guests Ricardo Cordozo, Gurtej Singh, Karan Sawhney who are players of the Bangalore FC Team

Ricardo Cordozo addressed the participating teams and stressed the importance of being focused in order to play professional football. He also highlighted how organization like FitKids help promoting sports and health in school children with Sports & PE programs like LeapStart.

In a nail biting final that featured the teams from Bangalore,Pavan Chetta from Greenwood put his team ahead with a goal in the 9 minute with a breath taking strike. However Sudarshan from Parikrama Centre for learning equalized the score from a close range shot 4 minutes later. Manoj then scored the winner during the second half sealing the win for Parikrama Centre for learning.
The national finals of the tournament held in Bangalore involved the winners and runners up of the regional tournaments that were conducted in 8 cities across the country with 40 schools participating.
