Nova Specialty Surgery, the pioneer of short-stay surgical care in India, is proud to announce the association of its Senior Consultant, Dr. Kumaresh Krishnamoorthy, with the US-based life-science biotechnology firm, Bacterial Robotics.

The association would see Dr. Krishnamoorthy spearhead Bacterial Robotics’ soon-to-be-formed device subsidiary in India, called Auricle Solutions, as Director, Clinical Surgery- India. Speaking about the development, Dr. Krishnamoorthy said: “I am thrilled and honoured to be associated with Bacterial Robotics and take charge of its new India venture. This is a win-win association for all of us, and I look forward to making a meaningful contribution in my new role.”

Dr. Krishnamoorthy is currently Senior Consultant, ENT, Head and Neck Surgery, Neurotology and Cochlear implantation with Nova Specialty Surgery. Along with Dr. Ravi Samy, USA-based Chief Medical Officer of Bacterial Robotics, he has been instrumental in introducing the latest surgical techniques and technologies to India.

Dr. Samy continued, “Skull-based tumors destroy hearing and lead to death.  It is not only a question of morbidity and mortality; it is a quality of life consideration.  Our primary goal is providing top-tier treatment.  However, I also want our outreach to continue winning the hearts and minds of the patients we serve and our collaborating surgeons.”

A live surgery, performed by Dr. Samy, was conducted at Nova Specialty Surgery on 20th November, 2013, showcasing state-of-the-art equipment that is at par with international standards.
