Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited (CIFCL), the financial arm of Murugappa Group has been conferred the “Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting” for the year 2012-2013 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants Of India (ICAI). CIFCL has been chosen as the “Winner of Plaque” under the financial service category. The award was received by Mr. Arul Selvan, Senior Vice President & CFO, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance at an award ceremony held at New Delhi in the presence of Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcast, Shri Manish Tiwari, and Justice G S Sistani, Judge – Delhi High Court.
Cholamandalam Investment and Finance has been awarded the recognition based on the parameters of accounting practices adopted by the organization in the preparation of financial statements and policies followed for disclosure and presentation of financial statements and other information in the annual report with regard to the financial condition and operating performance of the company.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India awards are presented annually to Corporate entities as a step to recognize their financial practices which are followed to achieve excellence in reporting and management. Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited was adjudged the winner by a jury comprising of eminent personalities from the financial sector and chaired by Sh. T. S. Vijayan, Chairman IRDA.
