Changing its Internet strategy, Uninor has decided to shift from volume based Internet offerings (MB and GB offerings) to service based Internet offerings (Facebook and Whatsapp). Offering Unlimited Facebookpacks starting 50 Paisa for an hour and Unlimited Whatsapp access starting 1 rupee a day, these service-based offerings forms the cheapest way for mobile users to access Facebook or use Whatsapp in Andhra Pradesh

Addressing the media at the press conference, Satish Kannan, Circle Business Head, Andhra Pradesh said “When consumers use internet services for social networking, messaging, browsing and emails, there is no reason why operators should serve and charge for MBs and GBs. Uninor is putting an end to these confusing tariffs by offering the services at flat rates for unlimited usage.”

Unlimited Sabse Sasta Facebook starts at 50p for 1 hour

One hour Facebook product is the first such in India. For the first time ever, a mobile operator offers Facebook access for a 1 hour validity and that too at a price of only 50 paisa. The company also offered unlimited Facebook access for a day at just 1Re; a week at 5 Rupees and unlimited month long access at 16 Rupees.
