Arvind Sampath, the Treasury Head of Fullerton India Credit Company Limited has been conferred with the “Treasurer of the Year for India” Award at the Asset Triple A Awards 2014, hosted by Asset Magazine in Hong Kong. The Asset Triple A Awards has been widely acknowledged as Asia’s defining recognition for excellence in the industry, since it first convened, a decade ago in 2004.
Sampath, a veteran of the Indian treasury and banking industry, has over two decades of experience working with financial markets. He has previously worked with ICICI Group and Standard Chartered, prior to setting up the treasury function at Fullerton India in 2012. Upon joining Fullerton India, he set a number of goals for the company, which it was able to achieve successfully, under his guidance. His goals included a reduction in the cost of funding; a reduction in the company’s funding risks by diversifying its lender base and building visibility and recall of the company’s paper in the market.
