The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments:
(i) Shri G. Mohan Kumar, IAS(OR:79), Secretary, Ministry of Steel as Secretary, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence in the vacancy of Shri G. C. Pati, IAS(OR:78)
(ii) Shri Rakesh Singh, IAS(PB:78), in cadre , as Secretary, Ministry of Steel vice Shri G. Mohan Kumar, IAS(OR:79), on his relinquishing charge of the post.
(iii) Shri Ashok Lavasa, IAS(HY:80), Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation as Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Charge vice Shri V.Rajagopalan,IAS(UP:78), on his retirement on 31.08.2014.
(iv) Shri V. Somasundaran, IAS(KL:79), in cadre, as Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation vice Shri Ashok Lavasa, IAS(HY:80), on his relinquishing charge of the post.
(v) Shri Sunil Arora, IAS(RJ:80), in cadre, as Secretary in the newly created Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship under Ministry of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Youth Affairs and Sports.
