It’s the first visit of any Japanese prime minister in 14 years as former Japanese Premier Yoshiro Mori visited Bangladesh in 2000.Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received the Japanese prime minister at the airport.
In the visit, Bangladesh will try to get more Japanese investment and assistance while Tokyo will focus on getting Bangladesh’s support for the UN Security Council non-permanent member election for the 2016-17.
