#Saradha scam:TMC MP Srinjoy Bose's associates attack media outside CBI office in Kolkata

The noose appears to be tightening around many prominent leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal in connection with the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam.

A day after CBI arrested a leader of West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress and former director general of the state armed police Rajat Majumdar in connection with the Saradha scam, the agency on Wednesday summoned and questioned the ruling party's Raja Sabha MP Srinjoy Bose.

As per reports, the TMC MP was questioned at the CBI office here in connection with his alleged role in the scam.Bose was named by his suspended party colleague, Kunal Ghosh, in a video testimonial. Ghosh is already in CBI custody for his involvement in the scam.

Meanwhile Ghosh wrote an open letter to the party leadership, asking it to constitute an internal probe committee report in 72 hours."Whatever I have revealed is for the sake of probe, not intended for political purpose," he said.

Meanwhile, TMC leader Mukul Roy's close associate Asif Khan has announced his decision to quit the party, a day after he was interrogated by the CBI. "We will not be a part of Trinamool till it is clean. All leaders whose names are coming up should cooperate with the CBI," Khan said.
