#Wyndham Worldwide CEO visits NGO run school in #Bangalore, plans expansion in India

Stephen Paul Holmes Chairman & CEO, global hospitality major Wyndham Worldwide and Gordon Scott Gurnik, President, RCI visited Christel House India run school in Bangalore yesterday. Christel House is an international non-profit organisation that assists impoverished children.Through Wyndham Foundation Wyndham Worldwide and RCI as well are making charitable donations to Christel House International.“We are a values-based company that aims to deliver results for our business in a responsible way, creating positive change for the people and communities around us,” said Stephen Paul Holmes after his vist to Christel House school.Founded by RCI co-founder Christel DeHaan in 1998, Christel House International opened its first school in Bangalore, India in 2001


Wyndham Worldwide plans to add 35 affiliated resorts in India under its vacation exchange arm RCI network in the next three years. "We are planning to double our presence in India by end of 2018,"said  Stephen Paul Holmes while talking to reporters on the sidelines of his visit to Christel House school. At present, Wyndham Worldwide has 130 affiliated resorts that are operational in India with 60 partners, including Mahindra Holidays.Globally Wyndham Hotel Group has around 7,700 properties with 6,68,500 hotels rooms.In India Wyndham Worldwide has recently signed new deals for 10 new hotels that include two conversions under the Howard Johnson and Ramada Plaza brands with the Unique Mercantile Group, and also made its first expansion beyond India under the Ramada and Days Inn brands with Intraco, which is based out of Bangladesh.
