Housing.com voted “Website of the Year” by MetrixLab

Housing.com voted “Website of the Year” by MetrixLab
Housing.com, India’s leading online house hunting portal, has won accolades as the ‘Website of the Year’ in the Housing and Interiors category.  The company, which has changed the way Indians hunt for homes, was nominated by online research agency, MetrixLab. A total of 12 websites were contesting for the coveted title via a public voting poll. Users were asked to select the website of their choice on the basis of the following parametres: design, navigation, content and how likely they are to recommend the website to people.

Another feather in the cap of the online house hunting based company was being allotted slots on day 1 of recruitment at three IITs: Delhi, Kharagpur and Guwahati. This was a moment of great joy and pride for the founding members of Housing.com who are alumni of the IITs themselves.  Usually, the first day of recruitments at the prestigious institutions is reserved for top MNCs and big Indian corporations. But Housing.com created history by being the first start-up to find a spot in the recruitments, given its phenomenal success in such a short span of time.

Speaking on these two achievements, Housing.com spokesperson and co-founder Advitiya Sharma commented, “We are humbled by the recognition given to us by our Alma Mater and by MetrixLab. These achievements make us feel that our continued focus towards doing great work for our users has paid off. Their vote in our favour helps us realise that we are moving in the right direction as far as providing a great user experience goes.”

He further added, “We have made offers to over 45 IITians from 4 IITs for important roles in the organisation. The idea is to foster the company’s expansion with the same DNA as the core team. We are very excited to have the next generation of IITians on board. We are also deeply humbled by the recognition given to us by the IITs by allowing us to recruit on day 1. It’s a great encouragement for us.”

For a company that is only about a year and a half old, to be in the limelight so soon, speaks great lengths about its performance and potential. It has successfully altered the house hunting market and made the entire process extremely convenient for users. The focus has been on creating a powerful search tool that will allow users to conduct a thorough home scout without actually necessitating their physical presence. The website is complete with brilliant visualisation and an intuitive, user-friendly interface. All data is collected and then verified by an in-house team that works to ensure authenticity.
