The program, representing the coming together of Sun Direct, a leader in the DTH market and Manipal k -12, a leader in education & training, seeks to address the technical manpower needs of the DTH industry, which is one of the fastest growing businesses in India, with over 2 crore subscribers further growing at an astounding 30% each year.

The training is conducted free for candidates and the program envisages the identification, selection, training, certification and deployment of DTH Mechanics jointly by Sun Direct and Manipal K-12. On completion of training, candidates will be provided certification by Sun Direct and Manipal K-12.
“This training program is very intensive and is designed to enable candidates to quickly grasp concepts and apply them in real life situations. The structured program uses the right blend of digital-enabled learning and instructor-led training at Manipal K-12 centers coupled with hands-on practical installations in real-life customer situations along with Sun Direct field personnel.
To be offered initially for a limited number of 200 candidates, the training will be conducted at Manipal K-12’s learning centers in Bangalore , Mysore , Tumkur, Manipal and Bellary . Candidates who complete the training can expect to earn anywhere from Rs. 8,000 to 12,000 per month, if not more.
